Pride Month and the kind of community we want to be

Most people want the same basic things from where they live, to feel safe, to be treated with respect, and to feel at home.

Pride Month offers an opportunity to reflect on these shared expectations and on the kind of communities we’re working to create; places where people can be themselves without fear of discrimination or exclusion.

We believe in peace, respect and kindness

The 28 members of the Greater Manchester Housing Providers (GMHP) partnership wish to express their concerns about the very worrying incidents we are seeing in some communities across the United Kingdom where tensions are rising and some people are being targeted based on their background.
