Major works and long-term agreements:

We’re committed to keeping our housing stock in a good state of repair. This means that from time to time we’ll need to carry out large scale works.

Your lease states that you must contribute a share of the costs of any repair or maintenance to the building.

Whilst we’ve tried to include as much information as possible, our webpages might not cover everything. If you’d like to speak with us about your lease, please get in touch. We’re here to help.

Please note that this is just a guide and doesn’t replace your lease.

We're legally required to consult with leaseholders before carrying out major works.

This means that as a leaseholder, you’re entitled to further consultation – often called ‘Section 20’.

This is because it was introduced by Section 20 of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985.

We have a duty to consult with leaseholders when:

Charges can include - but are not limited to - works such as:

Your lease contains a clause that means you must contribute to the cost of any works to the blocks.

The charge to you will usually be calculated by taking the total cost of work to the block divided by total number of properties in the block. So, if you live in a block of four, the total cost would be divided by four.

If there are planned works to your property, we’ll be in touch with further information.

If you’d like further information, please get in touch.
