Heard about our Deane Focus Team project at Thornbank estate, Bolton?

Our Community Engagement colleagues called it the Deane Focus Team because it’s all about delivering ‘hyper-local’, tailored support to address those issues that residents have told us matter most.

Last Thursday (22 October 2026) was an important day for the team as they officially installed the community-created ‘Deane Focus Team’ sign – which now sits proudly on the side of our Pop-Up UCAN Centre on the estate. Here, residents can pop in for help with employment, money, housing, repairs, and more.

  • Deane Focus Team colleagues Paula, Michelle, and Darren talk more about the sign and what it represents in this short video. Thanks to all those residents who created artwork for the sign.
