The programme reflects our commitment to investing in homes and communities, helping customers enjoy warmer, healthier places to live while improving the long-term performance of our housing stock.
Works will include:
- New windows and doors
- Roof improvements
- Drainage upgrades
- Enhanced ventilation systems
- Energy efficiency measures to reduce heat loss
Together, these improvements will help create more comfortable homes, support lower energy consumption and reduce the risk of damp, mould and condensation.
The first phase of works will take place in the Platt Hill and Hulton Lane areas of Deane. Further investment is planned over the next three years at:
- Hargreaves House, Bolton town centre
- Shireburn and Meadowside estate, Tonge with Haulgh
- Harpers Green estate, Farnworth
- Hall i' th' Wood estate, Tonge Moor
The programme is being delivered in partnership with Baas Construction and Cotality, which is carrying out energy efficiency assessments and supporting the design process.
Almost £2 million of funding from the Greater Manchester Combined Authority will support the energy-efficiency improvements, helping homes move closer to the government’s target of achieving a minimum EPC rating of C by 2030.
